I Can Use God's Armor!

Now we are children of God . . . when he appears, we shall be like him . . . 1 John 3:2

Long ago, soldiers wore armor to protect themselves in battle. God gives Christians special armor in their battle against Satan. You have read about God's armor earlier in this devotional book. You can also read about it in Ephesians 6:14-18 in the Bible. Can you remember what each piece of the armor is and what it's for? (If you have trouble, go back to devotional #102 for help!)

See if you can fill in these blanks: One piece is called the belt of___________. This piece helps you to know what is true and not to be fooled by Satan's lies. Another piece is the breastplate of_____________. It protects your heart and helps you to do what's right. The shoes of the Gospel of ____________ help you share God's peace with others. The shield of ______________ means believing God's promises. It will protect you against Satan's attacks. The helmet of ______________ protects your mind. It gives you confidence that you are God's child so you can say "no" to sin. The____________ of the Spirit is the Word of God. It will help resist Satan. Ask God to help you use His armor so you can stay close to Him and not sin.
