I Can Walk in Fellowship with God!
. . . Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:39
Just think! The Creator of the world wants you to spend time with Him every day! That's what "walking in fellowship" with God means. How do you do it?
How did Jesus do it? Jesus often went "to lonely places and prayed" (Luke 5:16). Do you talk to God alone as often as you can?
The Lord Jesus learned Scripture. When Satan tried to get Jesus to sin, Jesus answered with verses He may have learned as a boy. Once, He said, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ?Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only'" (Matthew 4:10). Are you learning the Bible verses in this book? They'll help you stay close to God.
Jesus went to the synagogue (meeting place of worship) "as was his custom [habit]" (Luke 4:16). Jesus prayed and worshiped God with other people. Do you try to do that every week?
When Jesus talked about God one day, He said, "I always do what pleases him" (John 8:29). Do you always obey God?
Jesus prayed, learned Scripture, went to the synagogue and obeyed God. These things helped Him walk in fellowship with God. These are ways you can walk in fellowship with God, too!
